Asaleo Care has released its 2020 Modern Slavery Statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2018, its second public statement, which outlines the steps the Company is taking to tackle modern slavery in its supply chain.

"We recognise the scale and prevalence of modern slavery globally and are committed to playing our part in conjunction with businesses and governments all working together in the global economy, to prevent, find and address the issue," said Asaleo Care CEO and Managing Director Sid Takla.

Asaleo Care welcomes the Australian Government’s Modern Slavery legislation and supports the efforts of the global community in eradicating modern slavery, human trafficking and forced labour. As a leading producer of personal care and hygiene products, Asaleo Care has been identifying, assessing and reporting on supply chain and human rights risks and activity since 2014.

The Company issued its first voluntary and preliminary Modern Slavery Statement for 2019, well ahead of the required timeframe, demonstrating its continued commitment to preventing the occurrence of modern slavery in its operations and supply chains.
